I have a thrilling announcement to make—I have won Artist of the Year! Can you believe it?

I have a thrilling announcement to make—I have been crowned the Seeker Choice Artist of the Year! Can you believe it? Trust me, I’m still pinching myself but I’m also kicking myself because I didn’t have a speech.

When they announced my name as the artist of the year I believe my initial reaction was a synchronized explosion of surprise, joy, and pure unadulterated stage fright. After all, I had just watched everyone accept their awards and read off a great speech which they had prepared and here I was speechless! I did not even think to make one.

I can’t believe I won… oh crap, speech!

Picture this: me, standing on that stage, the eyes intensely focused on me . As I tried to gather my thoughts, my mind was a canvas of blankness. What did I do, you ask. I embraced the unexpected, unleashed a wave of nonsense and mumbles, blurted out the most unconventional acceptance speech imaginable which ended with a flourish.  A twirl in my chicken dress. 🐓

Moving on from my absolute failure as a public speaker I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you. This award is not just a personal triumph; it belongs to our incredible community of badass, foul mouthed, sassy art enthusiasts. Thank you from the bottom of my paint-splattered heart!🖤

Now, let’s give a virtual round of applause to the Seeker team, who orchestrated this magnificent award. I’m truly humbled to be recognized by such a community focused organization. For this reason, I say, cheers to their impeccable taste 😜 and their commitment to celebrating everything our area has to offer, including award winning art!

This fine art award has injected a fresh dose of inspiration and drive into my artistic spirit. It’s a reminder that chasing dreams and sprinkling laughter along the way can lead to surprises.

To each and every one of you who has supported me, believed in me, and filled my artistic path with encouragement—thank you!
